Health Tips for the Busy Working Girl

In this age and time, where the easiest way to grab a meal is to go to a fast food restaurant, keeping healthy is not easy. I, for one, love fast food. I don't know if it's the bright fluorescent lights that drag me inside or the taste of extremely salted food. All I know is it's easy to get burger and fries instead of whipping up a meal especially when you're busy.

Imagine, I have been working so hard for hours and the least I wanna do when I get home is cook. I do not even think of exercise anymore! I just want to have that greasy salty food, plop in front of the TV, and watch the latest episodes of my favorite TV shows.

It's a very unhealthy lifestyle.

So, how do we make sure that we keep our slim figures and have a healthy body even if we are dead tired from work? Here are a few essential health tips.

The tips I'm about to blurt are mostly based on personal experiences. I know I'm not the fittest person on this planet but I try. Trying to stay fit and healthy is really a challenge. One day I'm on the right track, the next day, poof! It's hard, I tell ya! Anyway, without further ado, let's do this!

Ditch the fast food habit.
It's not good for your body. While it's OK to eat there once in a while, like on your cheat day or something, living there is a no-no.

Start your day with a big and healthy breakfast. This is our fuel. In order for us to keep working efficiently, we need our tummies to be full in the morning. Skipping breakfast might hurt your digestive system and will make you crave unhealthy foods.

Munch on a fruit or veggie when hungry. Instead of grabbing that big slice of pie during coffee break, why not bring your own carrot sticks? This will cut down your calorie intake and expenses!

Stop drinking liquid calories. You know how much sugar are in those milk teas we love so much? Tons. Instead of drinking sweetened beverages, why not go for unsweetened or plain tea?

Drink lots of water. This is a no-brainer but we still forget.

Avoid skipping meals. You skipped lunch but you binged on dinner? Umm, no.

Eat more foods that are high on iron, calcium, and essential vitamins. These are beneficial to our body and will aid us with growing older.

Exercise. No matter how light or short your routine, it is still best to incorporate regular exercise in your busy schedule. No amount of dieting will make your tummy and arms firm.

Get some sleep. I know it's hard especially with so many distractions. Hello, internet, books, TV, boys, and friends? Ring a bell? Even the best concealer will not work if we continue on not sleeping properly.

Smile. Such a cliché, but still. Everything seems better when you put a smile on.
These are just a few tips and reminders. I need constant reminding, too. Which reminds me, I need to look up for the best brain food otherwise I'll run out of scientific ideas.  *hrhrhr*

Hope this helps, busy ladies!
